On 24 September 2026, the PhD Graduation Day 2026 will be held in the Aula Magna of the Rectorate, Banchi di Sotto 55, Siena. The ceremony is dedicated to PhD graduates who have been awarded their doctoral degree by the University of Siena during the current academic year.
On the morning of 24 September, at 11:00 a.m., Professor Telmo Pievani—an evolutionary biologist, philosopher of science, and science communicator—will deliver a lecture entitled "The Unexpected in Science: A Theory of Serendipity" in the Aula Magna of the Rectorate. The lecture is open to all doctoral candidates of the University.
