The field of research concerns the surveillance and control of influenza, of other acute respiratory diseases and of other viral and bacterial etiology pathologies. In particular, research surveillance and control activities are carried out in the field of influenza and other respiratory infections; efficacy studies in the field of vaccines are planned and coordinated, with particular attention to influenza vaccines.
