Trehalose-induced cytostasis and cytotoxicity in human glioblastoma cells

Effects of Trehalose treatment in human cell lines of glioblastoma, both in normoxic and hypoxic conditions: evaluation of oxidative stress (ROS production and changes in antioxidant systems), cell proliferation, induction of autophagy and macropinocytosis; evaluation of the additive/synergistic effect of Trehalose in combined treatments with the chemotherapeutic drug, temozolomide, and/or adjuvant radiotherapy, commonly used in glioblastoma patients
