HBSC (Health Behaviour in School-aged Children) and “OKkio alla SALUTE” are two studies of the national surveillance system that allows the periodic collection of information (eating habits, physical activity, school environment, addictions, relationship with peers, mental health etc.) on both Regional and National representative samples of primary and secondary schools (specifically the age groups are 9 years old OKkio alla salute and 11-13-15 and 17 for HBSC). Our research group is part of both regional, national and international coordination. Data from these projects, through the use of standardized methodologies and tools, are useful in developing programs for health promotion and healthy lifestyles that are often determined by social, cultural, economic and environmental factors with negative consequences on health itself.
